Donald Trump’s Niece Says She “Thought Better” Of America with “Deeply Sorry”

She was a well-known opponent of Donald Trump who supported Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election that Trump won.

Mary L. Trump, Donald Trump’s niece, expressed her “deeply sorry” as US election counting trends indicated that her father would be returning to the presidency. “I sincerely apologise. On X, she stated, “I thought better of us.”

The 59-year-old is the daughter of Donald Trump’s brother, Fred Trump Jr., who died early. She is a psychologist and the author of “Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man,” an unapproved biography of Donald Trump.

She had supported Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, which Trump won, and was a well-known Trump critic. The riot on Capitol Hill in 2021 prompted her to call for her uncle to be “barred from ever running for public office again.”

In an election that was predicted to be a close contest but turned out to be a landslide for the Republicans, Donald Trump is poised to win a historic victory.

He called it a “magnificent victory for the American people.” He was speaking to his supporters. He added, “God spared my life for a reason.” He was alluding to the July 13 assassination attempt. Three votes shy of the crucial 270 electoral college votes, he is currently receiving 267. Kamala Harris, the incumbent vice president and the opponent, is behind at 224.

Trump referred to the Republican campaign as the “greatest political movement of all time,” saying, “We made history tonight for a reason; we are going to help our country heal and fix our borders.” We have won the most amazing political victory. I would like to express my gratitude to Americans. I will do everything in my power to defend you and your family.

A massive factor in Trump’s victory was the Republican sweep in seven swing or battleground states. From a 6-1 score in favour of Democrats in the 2020 polls, these seven states swung to a 7-0 advantage for Trump. The Republican leader is ahead in Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Nevada and has already won three swing states: Georgia, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.
