Samsung’s One UI 7 beta has been considerably delayed this year—iit was previously expected to arrive in August.

Samsung is expected to release One UI 7—iit’s upcoming software upgrade that is based on Google’s Android 15 update—iin early 2025. Samsung previously announced that it would release a beta version of One UI 7, allowing enthusiasts and software developers to test out the upcoming software before it launches next year, even though One UI 7 is not anticipated to be available on the company’s smartphones for a few months. The beta’s potential release date has now been revealed by a tipster.

By mid-November, Samsung is expected to release the One UI 7 beta to testers.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) claims that Samsung will “take another half month” before it rolls out the One UI 7 beta update, which is based on Android 15. We can anticipate that the beta version of the company’s next software will be made available to users by mid-November, and the tipster has a solid history of disclosing information about the South Korean tech giant.

The beta version of Samsung’s One UI 7 was supposed to launch in August, but the company announced last month that it would release the beta version by the end of the year and the stable version the following year, most likely with the rumoured Galaxy S25 series. The first smartphone to get the One UI 7 update is probably the Samsung Galaxy S24 series.

Features of the Samsung One UI 7 (Anticipated)

Unlike previous versions of One UI, Samsung didn’t provide detailed information about upcoming features coming to its Android 15-based One UI 7 update at the Samsung Developers Conference. Even though the software update is not anticipated to be available to users for another few months, information about it has already appeared online.

Samsung’s One UI 7 update will reportedly bring a fresh coat of paint for several system app icons, including the dialler, messages, gallery, calculator, and clock apps. Improvements are also anticipated in the handling of notifications, particularly those that appear on the lock screen.

It has been reported that the One UI 7 update will also include new AI features for the gallery app that will enable users to “restyle” their portrait photos. When One UI 7 is released, it is anticipated that the Sketch to Image feature, which debuted with One UI 6.1.1, will be extended to additional devices. Google’s Homework Help feature, which was demonstrated at Google I/O earlier this year, is also anticipated to be supported by Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
