The Mumbai police filed a formal complaint against an unnamed official on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, after Bollywood actor Salman Khan allegedly received a second death threat and a demand of two crore.
“On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, the Mumbai traffic police received an anonymous message threatening to kill the actor if he did not pay two crores,” the official stated.
He added that an investigation was underway and that the police had filed a case against the unnamed individual.
A threat message demanding 5 crores from the actor was sent to the Mumbai traffic police’s WhatsApp helpline desk earlier this month.
In this regard, a man from Jamshedpur has been taken into custody by the police.
A man from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, was taken into custody by the Mumbai police on Monday, October 28, 2024, for allegedly threatening to kill Salman Khan and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique.
Notably, Mr. Khan had earlier received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In April of this year, suspected gang members had opened fire outside the actor’s Bandra residence.
The actor’s security was improved after the Navi Mumbai police discovered a Bishnoi gang plot to kill him a few months ago.
