The silicon carbon batteries that power the Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro have an 80W charging capacity.
On Thursday, the company’s newest flagship smartphones from the X series, the Oppo Find X8 and Oppo Find X8 Pro, were introduced in China. They run ColorOS 15, which is based on Android 15, and are powered by MediaTek’s new 3nm Dimensity 9400 chipset. They have up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of built-in storage. Up to four 50-megapixel wide, ultrawide, and periscope telephoto cameras with Hasselblad tuning are available in the Oppo Find X8 series. Their silicon-carbon batteries have an 80-watt charging capacity.
According to the company, the newly unveiled Oppo Find X8 series will also be launched in global markets—including India. In the upcoming weeks, Oppo’s regional subsidiaries will provide more information regarding the arrival of these phones.
Pricing and Availability of the Oppo Find X8 and Oppo Find X8 Pro
The base Oppo Find X8 model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage costs CNY 4,199, or about Rs. 49,600. Additionally, the phone comes in 16GB+256, 12GB+512GB, and 16GB+512GB versions, which retail for CNY 4,399 (approximately Rs. 51,900), CNY 4,699 (approximately Rs. 55,500), and CNY 4,999 (approximately Rs. 59,000), per the respective prices. Customers can also purchase the handset in a 16GB+1TB option priced at CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs. 64,900).
On the other hand, the Oppo Find X8 Pro is available with 12GB of RAM and 256GB for CNY 5,299 (roughly Rs. 62,600). The 12GB+512GB and 16GB+512GB versions are also available for purchase, with prices of CNY 5,699 (approximately Rs. 67,300) and CNY 5,999 (approximately Rs. 70,800), respectively. A model with satellite connectivity costs CNY 6,799 (approximately Rs. 80,300), while the top-tier 16GB+1TB storage model costs CNY 6,499 (approximately Rs. 76,750).
The Oppo Find X8 series phones are available for pre-order on the company’s website and will go on sale on October 31. Clear Sky Route, Walking in Clouds, and Hoshino Black (translated from Chinese) are the colour options for the Find X8 Pro, while Bubble Powder, Chasing Wind Blue, Floating White, and Hoshino Black (translated from Chinese) are the colour options for the standard model.
Details of the Oppo Find X8 and Oppo Find X8 Pro
The Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro are dual-SIM (Nano) smartphones that run on Android 15 with the company’s ColorOS 15 skin on top. The standard model sports a 6.59-inch (1,256×2,760 pixels) LTPO AMOLED screen with 460ppi pixel density, while the Pro variant has a 6.78-inch (1,264×2,780 pixels) LTPO AMOLED screen with 450ppi pixel density. Both phones’ displays can reach a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits and have a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro are outfitted with a MediaTek 3nm octa-core Dimensity 9400 chipset and up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Both of the Find X8 series’ models offer up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
For photos and videos, the Oppo Find X8 series is equipped with up to four Hasselblad-tuned rear cameras. Both models have a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and an f/2.6 aperture that uses Oppo’s Triple Prism Folded Lens technology to keep the periscope lens setup small, as well as a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field of view and an f/2.0 aperture.
The standard model has a 50-megapixel Sony LTY-700 primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, while the Pro variant has a main 50-megapixel LYT-808 sensor with an f/1.6 aperture as well as a 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 periscope telephoto camera with an f/4.3 aperture and 6x optical zoom. Both phones have a 32-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls and selfies. In order to enhance output, Oppo has also incorporated its HyperTone Image Engine.
5G, 4G LTE, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, dual-band GPS, and a USB Type-C port are among the connectivity features available on the Oppo Find X8. Both phones have an infrared (IR) transmitter, and the Pro model has a USB 3.1 Type-C port for quicker data transfers. Among the sensors on board are an optical fingerprint scanner, gyroscope, magnetometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and accelerometer.
The silicon carbon batteries that power the Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro have capacities of 5,630mAh and 5,910mAh, respectively. Both phones have IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, and they support 80W (Super Flash Charging) and 50W (Wireless Flash Charging) charging.
