Mr. Jaishankar came here earlier today as part of his two-nation tour, which also includes a stop in Singapore.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stated on Sunday that there is sincere goodwill and a desire among countries to collaborate with India, highlighting the country’s desire to grow alongside the rest of the world.
On the first stop of his two-nation tour, which also includes Singapore, Mr. Jaishankar arrived here earlier today.
“Hello, Australia! Today, I arrived in Brisbane. He wrote on X, “Look forward to fruitful engagements over the next few days to advance the India-Australia Dosti.”
“India will grow,” Mr. Jaishankar told the Indian community gathered here. India is expanding, but it aspires to expand alongside the rest of the world.
“India sees opportunities when it looks at the world,” he said.
“We have hope. Although there might be issues, we believe that most people are friendly and want to cooperate with India. There is a global desire for India to prosper, and it is crucial that we capitalise on that desire,” Jaishankar stated.
He stated that there are many chances for international collaboration in the areas of research and education.
Indians abroad are currently perceived as being well-educated, personally accountable, having a strong work ethic, and prioritising their families. All of this together, in my opinion, makes us incredibly appealing in the global workplace today,” he stated.
Furthermore, I believe it is critical to cultivate those abilities and build that brand. Additionally, he emphasised that a worldwide workforce will be necessary in this era of artificial intelligence, electric mobility, and chips.
Mr. Jaishankar will open India’s fourth consulate in Australia in Brisbane while he is there.
Alongside his Australian counterpart Penny Wong, he will co-chair the 15th Foreign Ministers’ Framework Dialogue (FMFD) in Canberra.
At the 2nd Raisina Down Under’s inaugural session, which will take place at Australian Parliament House, he will give the keynote address.
Additionally, he is scheduled to meet with members of the Australian parliament, business community, media, think tanks, and leadership.
